Community Based Mentoring:

Volunteers are matched with a child in the community of Colorado Springs who is facing unique challenges, adversity and obstacles. The match relationship is for the intention of mentoring - to provide a positive example and uplifting relationship.

The volunteer and the child can choose a variety of mutually enjoyable activities in the community. Volunteers commit to a minimum of one year, spending time with the same youth (ages 9 to 12) two to four times each month.

Big Brothers Big Sisters staff members support the volunteer mentors, offering suggestions, counsel and assistance throughout the match relationship.

This is our traditional program for which Big Brothers Big Sisters is best and most known for.
