The Center for Contemporary Art is looking for a Summer Camp Intern to work closely with the Education Programs Manager, Registrar, and instructors during the summer art camp program from June 20th - August 26th. This person will be responsible for supervising a rotating group of volunteer aides, overseeing camper lunch periods, and other administrative duties. This is a paid internship. Description
The Center for Contemporary Art is a vibrant regional art center with studio art classes, a summer art camp, rotating exhibitions and community outreach programs.
Art classes for children and adults are offered in painting (oils, acrylic and watercolor), ceramics, pottery, drawing, pastels, photography and more. Exhibitions of contemporary art are presented in three galleries, as well as annual members’, international juried and youth art month exhibits. Outreach programs bring art experiences to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, at-risk youth, seniors, adults with disabilities and people affected by cancer.
The Center is located in a fully-accessible facility in Bedminster, Somerset County in Central NJ with convenient access to routes I-78, I-287, and 202/206.
