ORGANIZATION: Special Olympics North Carolina

Do you love basketball? How about teaching others? Special Olympics North Carolina is looking for basketball head coaches and assistant coaches to grow our basketball program. If you have the sport knowledge and are at least 18 years of age, we can train you on how to work with Special Olympics athletes. Assistant coaches can be 16 years and older and help at practices. Minimum requirements include:

  • Commit to coaching for a full season (minimum eight weeks of practice and at least one tournament ),
  • Complete online and in-person training to give you the tools you need to be successful,
  • Successfully pass a criminal background screening (at no cost to you).
