Animal Allies recently rescued 11 mini pigs that were abandoned in Milton, FL. Three are pregnant and expected to give birth any day now. The plan is to get these pigs adopted. Until they find furever homes, we need volunteers to help care for them. We're asking for 2 hours once a week. Time is flexible. Can be done alone or with a friend. We welcome kids between 10-17 years of age provided someone 18 years old or older can come with them. We are a 501c3 non-profit so volunteer hours do count as community service hours.
Duties may include: cleaning pig litterboxes (yes it's true!), feeding, changing water and/or hay, socializing and playing with the pigs. It's work, but we want you have fun too! No skill necessary, we'll train you. You can learn more about these pigs on their facebook page: Avalon Pigs - Animal Allies Florida
If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out our online Volunteer Interest Form on our website: www.aaFlorida.org and our volunteer coordinator will contact you.
