Join us at 1 Burrows Street to begin work on the Burrows Pocket Park expansion project!
The Portola Urban Greening Committee, The Greenhouse Project, and the Portola Neighborhood Association are excited to begin work on the long-neglected Caltrans site adjacent to the existing Burrows Pocket Park in San Francisco's Portola Neighborhood. We'll be expanding the park, which is cherished yet limited in size and amenities, and transforming the easement alongside the 101 between Burrows Street and Bacon Street into a safe, publically accessible green space! The new landscaping on the site will attract beneficial pollinators, as well as help absorb localized pollution from the nearby 101-south highway.
But we can't do it without your help! Please join us as on 2/10/18 from 12-4pm as we begin clearing the site of many years of neglect in preparation for upcoming improvements. See you there!
