Join the Taskforce for the Chicagoland Ride for Kids - a charity motorcycle event which benefits the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (PBTF). We are searching for passionate individuals who want to help in the fight against childhood brain tumors - the deadliest of all childhood cancers. You don't need to be a motorcycle rider. We just want people who can work as part of a team to help pull off a successful fundraiser. Volunteers can work virtually and/or in the community.
The Taskforce plans the event and recruits volunteers, sponsors, and participants for the event. Skill sets needed are organization skills, fundraising, media relations, graphic design, social media advertising, and sales.
The Taskforce builds its own sense of community through regular meetings and planning discussions. Each taskforce members take on a different task and works with the Managing Director of the PBTF and the Taskforce Leaders to accomplish that task. Time commitments and work flow varies based on each task.
The Ride for Kids itself will be held on Sunday, July 15 at the Kane County Cougars Stadium in Geneva, IL. Riders come from all over to participate and our Star families (patients) also attend and receive VIP treatment throughout the day. All proceeds from the Ride for Kids go to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation which is a national organization and the largest non-profit funder of research on childhood brain tumors.
Jon us today and make a difference in the effort to cure the kds!
