Purpose: The East Bay SPCA Marketing Department develops and implements marketing and communications initiatives to support the East Bay SPCA's vision, mission, donation and revenue objectives. We are seeking a volunteer interested in assisting with print design tasks to help design creative printed materials.
Position Duties:
- With direction from Marketing Department, create printed materials such as fliers, postcards for events and marketing programs for different departments, such as Humane Education and Development
- Execute on creating original materials with content, photos supplied by marketing team
Skills:
- Well versed in Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
- Creative eye for design with a portfolio
- Proofreading and editing a plus
- Good communicator comfortable taking direction remotely
- Experience working with brand style guides
- Passion for animal welfare
- Comfortable working in the cloud and downloading files from Dropbox
- Deadline-oriented
- Preparing files for print production
Training and Shifts:
- Must attend the East Bay SPCA’s Volunteer Orientation
- Can work independently and remotely on projects after initial meeting with Marketing department
- Reliable and available at least 5 hours a month for design work
Requirements
- Has access to own Adobe Creative Suite software
- Has access to own WIFI and reliable access to email

We are the oldest animal welfare organization in the East Bay and operate two animal shelters and three clinics, serving Alameda and Contra Costa counties.
