KXRW is a new progressive community radio station on the air in Vancouver, WA. KXRW 99.1 FM is powered by volunteers, so we need a dynamic, energetic, organized person to help build the volunteer program. As the Volunteer Coordinator you'll work with our board of directors to develop a comprehensive volunteer program from the recruiting strategies to the handbooks. Volunteers serve KXRW in a variety of ways from tabling at events to producing radio programs. We're looking for someone with strong leadership capabilities and a desire to build a corps of volunteers who are inspired to make sure progressive voices are part of the conversation! This is a wonderful opportunity for someone interested in developing a career in non profit administration, professional volunteer administration, or community broadcasting. We prefer someone who is local to the greater Clark County, WA area, existing contacts and involvement in progressive causes a plus!
