Interim Hospice has implemented an innovative model for serving Veterans at the end of life; the Veteran-to- Veteran Volunteer Pro- gram. The Vet-to-Vet Volunteer Pro- gram aims to pair recruited Veteran Volunteers with hospice patients who have been identified as Veterans.
Once paired with hospice patients who also have military experience, Veteran Volunteers have the unique ability to relate and connect with Veteran patients and their families.

Description
Whether it’s providing companionship to a person in the final months or weeks of life, supporting family members, providing assistance in the office or helping with community outreach, serving people at the end of life’s journey allows hospice volunteers to make a difference every day.
Hospice needs volunteers-they provide an important service to the patients,family members and community, and are an essential part of our Hospice team.
