UCHM is seeking volunteers and peer tutors to assist in providing homework help and enrichment activities to youth participants in grades K-8 during the United Learning After-school Program. Peer tutors are exceptional students in grades 6-12 who have excelled in one or more subject areas who provide one-on-one tutoring to a student at least three grade levels below them. In addition, UCHM is also recruiting After-school program volunteers, who are 18 and up, to provide homework help to youth and assist with general program activities.

The UCHM After-school program will begin when JCPS resumes regular, in person classes and will continue until the end of the JCPS school year. It runs M-F from 3:00pm - 6:00pm. We ask that peer tutors and volunteers commit to at least one day each week during the school year to volunteer with the program. Interested applicants should contact Emily Purdy at epurdy@uchmlouky.org to apply. Volunteering is contingent upon clear background check and a successful interview.

The overarching goal of the UCHM After-school program is to help students achieve academic success as well as demonstrate positive behavior and social interactions with peers and adults.
