Mission Statement
The mission of FIRST Robotics is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
Description
The vision of FIRST Robotics is "To transform our culture by creating a world where science and technology are celebrated and where young people dream of becoming science and technology leaders." FIRST of the Great Lakes Bay Region is the local non-profit organization what was created to assist and support the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) member teams i n the Great Lakes Bay Region (GLBR) of Michigan. The GLBR is comprised of: Bay, Midland, and Saginaw counties in the State of Michigan. In addition to supporting FRC member teams, FIRST of the GLBR also assists and supports FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC), and FIRST Lego League (FLL) member teams located in the GLBR.
