**VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY**
Are you experienced in fundraising and donor stewardship? Do you enjoy event planning and membership drives? How are you at sleuthing the internet for stellar potential sponsors?
We are looking to add an outstanding Vice President of Development to our group of hard-working officers! If you are interested in volunteering for a state-wide, environmentally-focused, mission-driven organization, please consider applying to be the Alabama Hiking Trail S ociety's next VP of Development!
Duties would include:
- Planning fundraising events including our annual conference
- Identifying and pursuing sponsors
- Donor stewardship
- Volunteer recruitment and engagement
- Developing strategies for membership drives and Annual Fund
You will be working closely with the Vice Presidents of Public Relations, Membership, and Administration as well as the President of AHTS. We are an active, enthusiastic team devoted to fulfilling our mission of maintaining trails and building the grand Alabama Trail.

The Alabama Hiking Trail society is a statewide, environmentally-focused, mission-driven organization committed to maintaining wilderness trails and building the grand Alabama Trail which will run from the sparkling blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico up to the awe-inspiring Walls of Jericho at the Tennessee state line. AHTS strives to engage community members of all backgrounds with the beautiful landscape of our state and hopes to inspire eco-tourism throughout the country as Alabama is increasingly recognized as an outdoor recreation destination.
