We need volunteers who are interested in trail maintenance and habitat restoration. It requires a commitment on the first and third Saturday of every month from 9am-12pm. The duties include training, supervising and working alongside the volunteers who come twice a month to water, clear brush, pull weeds, plants native species, split and stack logs, and other general maintenance as needed. We can't do it all without your help, help us keep Batiquitos beautiful.
No registration is required, just show up at 9am on the 1st or 3rd Saturday each month. Wear long pants and shirts and closed shoes, bring water and sunblock. We provide gloves and tools.

Description
BLF is a non profit All Volunteer 501(c)3 Organization. We maintain the trails and habitat around Batiquitos Lagoon. We also operate a Nature Center with examples of insects, shells, rocks and birds. We conduct monthly speaker presentation on environmental subjects and offer group docent tours. We have a dedicated children’s area in our Nature Center with is open 7 days a week from 9am-3pm.
