What a fun day! This FREE community event is a great way to spend a few hours.
Play Dayis a time for families to learn through play with their children. A fun event for children, parents and the community, Play Dayprovides hands-on activities for children of every age. Play Dayis an example of the way in which the child development community continues to come together to educate and inform parents, at no cost to them, about the importance of early childhood education. This exciting event draws approximately 5,000 attendees each year.
Opportunities include but are not limited to:
- Set-up/Breakdown of tents, chairs, and booths
- Face Painting
- Hair Painting
- Book tent/Distribution
- Fruits and vegetable tent/Distribution
- Water and First Aid tent
The Annabelle Godwin Play Day event is named after Professor Annabelle Godwin in honor of her commitment to positive early care and education programs benefiting thousands of residents in the greater San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles area. The event is presented every year for the families of CCRC’s service area. CCRC offers guests an event focused on child-enriching and sensory-driven activities for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and young school-aged children.
