With our Youth Programs, we provide a safe environment for children to come learn and play. Our goal in the program is to help children develop social and communication skills, decision making and life skills.
With our programs we provide a safe environment by utilizing no less than 2 adults at all times in a location. We are currently in search of a van monitor to ride along for pick ups and drop offs for children in need of a ride. These helpers will ride and assist the driver in assuring kids are kept safe at all times in vehicles.
Character Building programs-Wednesdays (pickups at 3:50 PM, drop offs begin at 6 PM).
Creative Arts Programs-Thursdays (pickups at 3:50 PM, drop offs begin at 7 PM).

Description
The Salvation Army located in Richmond KY provides many services to help those in need here in Madison county and 4 other surrounding areas. In our Social Service office, we provide emergency food and clothing for those in need as well as utility assistance. We also have a soup kitchen that runs on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 11-1. Our mobile canteen (mobile kitchen) goes out every Saturday to our most needed neighborhoods to serve soup and sandwiches.
We also have an emergency shelter that provides a safe place to stay for those in need.
Children programs are offered throughout the week for at risk youth in our community and we are always seeking good role models for these programs.
Without the generous support of volunteers, it would not be possible to provide all of the programs and services that The Salvation Army offers.
