As a Volunteer Transporter, you will help to escort patients and their belongings to and from their rooms at admission and discharge. You will also provide wheelchair transport, retrieve stretchers and provide directional and wayfinding support to visitors and patients.
Ideal candidates for this volunteer assignment are comfortable with walking for extended periods, friendly, and enjoy meeting new people.

Time Commitment: Weekly four-hour shifts between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Grady Health System is looking to utilize volunteers to assist at our Information Desk with wheelchair transport and way-finding throughout the hospital as well as with baking and serving warm cookies to the friends and family of our surgical patients.
