ORGANIZATION: Invisible Hands by Commonpoint

· Meeting with student to assist with homework assignments

· Review recent homework assignments and test scores to work through problems or questions that were answered incorrectly

· Assist students with study aides for test preparation

· Document student progress and determine level of need

Tutors will work with students individually or in a group setting. Experience in tutoring high school students is required. Hours requested are Mondays 1pm-4pm and Tuesdays and Wednesdays 3pm-4:30pm.

Description

For almost 60 years, Commonpoint Queens (formerly The Samuel Field and Central Queens YMWHA) has remained strong and vital and has continued to provide new and innovative programs to the greater Northeast Queens and Western Nassau communities.

As we embark on our sixth decade of providing high quality programs and services to our community, individuals of all ages learn and flourish within a caring and supportive environment at one of our 36 different sites throughout our neighborhoods.

We continue to provide life enhancing and life sustaining services to the over 35,000 people who depend on us to be their community center at each stage of their lives.
