ORGANIZATION: Special Olympics North Carolina

Special Olympics North Carolina presents Summer Games in the Raleigh area every summer. We are looking for some passionate individuals to help us "Green Our Games". We are focusing on a few venues for this event to see how we can make progress and plan to expand our efforts for future events.

If you want to make an impact for the environment there are many opportunities for recycling, even composting at NCSU and potential reduction and reuse but we need champions.

Let us know you're interested and we'll get you assigned to the appropriate venue and shifts.

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round athletic training and sports competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families and other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
