Whether you are quiet and would prefer working alone or at home, are boisterous and love interacting with people, looking to learn new skills and polish a resume, or just want to give back and help those fighting dementia, the Longest Day Committee has a place for you, The Longest Day gives participants the chance to do an activity they love to raise funds and​ awareness for our fight to end Alzheimer’s. The Longest Day Committee is essential to the growth and success of the event by helping to recruit teams, engage participants, and promote the event. Volunteers with any variety of skill sets and strengths can help! Together we will raise funds and awareness for care and support while advancing research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s disease.
We expect the following of our Committee members and in return you will have access to training, event resources, and staff support.
● Meeting Participation: Our meetings are held at least once a month. If you cannot attend or call in, please let me know 2 days in advance so we can discuss your updates.
● Time Commitment: Approximately three hours a month
● Meeting Benchmarks: Reaching individual and team goals laid out at team meetings
● Event Participation: Creating a Longest Day team.
