Traditional job shadows bring students to the workplace. JA's "Reverse Job Shadow" brings the workplace to students! As a volunteer you are given a table to set up your display: signs, posters, brochures, products - anything you wish to bring. Dress as you would for a work day - don't hold back! Students visit each station on a rotational basis, asking questions and learning about the different types of careers presented.
Purpose
The purpose of the career day is to expose students to career possibilities and give them the opportunity to speak to area professionals about their profession, how to set goals, how they arrived to where they are, what their company does, etc. This is also an opportunity to recruit employees.
