Become a Tower Hill Botanic Garden Docent!
2019 Docent Training
A docent is a volunteer who is specially trained to lead educational garden tours to Tower Hill visitors. If you have an interest in plants, gardens and Tower Hill you can train to become a docent! We will supply all of the information you need including sample tours. You will have the opportunity to shadow other docents until you feel ready to lead your own tour.
Who should apply?
Becoming a docent is an exciting learning experience and a great way to meet new people. If you enjoy working with people, teaching, plants gardening or nature you should consider becoming a Toer Hill docent.

There are four mandatory general docent tour training sessions beginning in March 2019 as well as specially themed training sessions throughout the year.
You must attend all four mandatory docent training sessions in March & April to become a docent. Don’t worry if you can’t make the weekday trainings; this year we have added Saturday training dates as well!

Wednesday, 3/13 or Saturday, 3/16
Wednesday, 3/20 or Saturday, 3/23
