The American Red Cross responds daily to disasters locally and throughout the country. Sample disaster response activities include: Individual Client Services (casework, health services and emotional care), Mass Care (feeding and sheltering), Logistics, Public Affairs and Disaster Services Technology. Each Red Cross disaster response activity has its own training and experience requirements for assignment. These requirements will be discussed during your 1:1 interview.
This position will also allow you to deploy for national emergencies such as the hurricanes that swept through Puerto Rico, Texas, and Florida in the summer of 2017.

We have five lines of services in our mission: Disaster relief, supporting America's military families, biomedical, (blood collection) health & safety services, and international services.
If you're interested in building resiliency in your community against local hazards (house fires, snowstorms, rainstorms, etc.), we have many volunteer opportunities to get involved.
