We are she thing.

Are you a reliable, team-focused, inspiring leader? Do you want your philanthropic work to make an immediate impact and empower the lives of adolescent girls, women and transgender individuals? Are you passionate about equity and women's rights?

If you're 18 or older and answered 'YES' to any of these questions, serving on our Board might be a great fit for you!

she thing Inc. is currently looking to fill open positions on our Board of Directors. Members of our Board live throughout the United States and are responsible for setting the strategic direction for she thing. In addition to attending monthly meetings, Board members must support she thing's community and fiscal initiatives, help spread the word about the organization, make an annual contribution and expand our impact.

Other Board of Director expectations include:

  • Providing leadership, contributing ideas and actively advocating for the fundraising and development efforts of she thing
  • Attending she thing's annual fundraiser OR making a financial gift equal or more than the cost to attend the event
  • Board members serve two year terms and are actively involved in organizational governance and resource development.

Our Board needs a variety of skills, with a strong emphasis on those with finance and fundraising experience, an understanding of nonprofit governance, and influencers willing to ask their networks for support.
