True Connection is a nonprofit dedicated to youth empowerment through SEL, art and meditation. SEL (Social & Emotional Learning) raises an individual's emotional intelligence, grows their self awareness, and increases empathy, creativity and purpose.

True Connection needs a compassionate and highly organized Program Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be in charge of assisting the Program Manger with providing the HiEQ Curriculum to numerous schools, homeschool families and community organizations in LA, nationally and globally. He or she will develop positive working relationships and handle administrative tasks. We’re looking for someone with a flexible schedule who can dedicate at least five hours per week for at least a few months.

Program Assistant responsibilities include:

Provide administrative staff with support (e.g. filing, emailing and data entry)

Maintain client files and add new information as it becomes available

HiEQ is our signature SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) curriculum designed to raise an individual’s emotional, social, and interpersonal intelligence. We help provide the understanding and tools to navigate rising thoughts, emotions, and responses in a way that decreases anxiety and stress and improves ability to learn, connect and lead within an educational setting and beyond into life, relationships, and career.

We are dedicated to helping students cultivate strong core values, reduce discrimination, transform negative thought patterns, manage their emotions, and set/achieve personal goals. SEL fosters supportive relationships between educators and students by practicing open communication and creative problem solving.
