Reporting to the Meta volunteer of the Technical Team, the Lead QA Analyst is an integral part in the success of Advance Social Innovation. The IT Quality Assurance Lead Analyst is responsible for IT release/change management and communication, testing, writing test plans, producing test reports, creating test metrics and providing recommendations on automating test strategies based on Business Requirements and Technical Specifications that are set to meet the requirements of Securitas Inc. products and services. This position is responsible for complex projects and work under high levels of responsibility and autonomy.
Responsibilities
Ability to work independently, as well as with members of development, support and all other departments
Execute and maintain standard corporate practices for software testing
Lead, design, modify, develop and write testing scripts, test plans, produce test reporting, create test metrics and implement software programming applications following established software development life cycles as well as architectural and testing standards
Lead, direct and coach the efforts of lower IT QA testing personnel on a day-today basis, including responsibility for monitoring work products and projects, measuring progress and directing others in order to reach goals in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws
Demonstrates innovation when evaluating the business implications of technology solutions to support building QA support plans
Serves as primary contact and technical advisor to clients and IT Leadership
Perform feasibility analysis on potential ways of streamlining and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the QA process
Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures
Plans, coordinates, and monitors the progress of applications to ensure their ongoing alignment with business goals
Works with the Business and IT Management to plan and coordinate short and long-term testing strategy and implementation
Conduct release readiness reviews & work towards making improvements in release process
Serve as a liaison resource for others on the team or partners within other business units
Manage relationships & coordinate work between different teams at different locations
Participate in quality audits

Skills/Qualification Preferred
5-10 hours volunteer engagement per week
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields
Successfully participation in 5+ large scale software developments involving significant QA Testing
Minimum of 6 years of Leadership experience as a Senior QA Analyst, Senior Automation Tester
6+ years of actual hands on, manual testing experience in a software testing role for a large company, including test plan and test case creation
Relevant QA Certifications preferred (CSTE, CSQA, ASTE, ASQA, etc.)
Strong analytical skills to understand business requirements and decompose into more granular level requirements
Effective communication skills; listening, written and verbal; ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical
Good experience in writing SQL queries, testing software, preparing test plans, test data, training user teams.
Extensive technical knowledge of Information Technology field, computer systems and industry QA practices & knowledge of software development lifecycle
Experience with automated testing tools and best practices
Excellent organizational, logical, clear, and concise written and verbal communication skills
Has strong time management and research skills, deals with complexity comfortably, and works quickly without sacrificing quality
Strong troubleshooting abilities to get to the source of problems, think critically regarding possible risk based solutions and establish mitigation plans to reduce recurrence
Strong ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities, and appropriately prioritize based upon business needs
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
Possesses strong risk assessment and prioritization skills
Must be a team player

Software Tools & Program Knowledge
Experience J2EE, PHP, .NET custom web and mobile development and Customization of COTS products
Experience with systems like CRM, Document Management Systems, Volunteer & Grant Management systems
Knowledge of basic HTML 5, XML, JavaScript and comfortable with code.
Experience working with DBs like Oracle, Microsoft SQL, MySQL or similar
Familiar with testing & standard business software such as MSOffice: MS Word, Excel, Jira, etc.
Proficient with MS Office suite of products, modelling tools like Visio or Adobe suite
