Volunteer Job Description
Volunteer Position: Driver
Reports to: Volunteer Coordinator
Expected Outcome: The efforts of this position will help those consumers who are having difficulties accessing public transportation or other transportation supports to attend group meetings.
General Responsibilities: This position requires the volunteer to provide transportation and escort consumers to group activities for the League.
Essential Volunteer Job Duties:
- To contact consumers to let them know the approximate time you will pick them up
for group activities.
- To pick up consumers at their homes and drive them to and from group activities.
- To learn how to guide consumers properly. League will provide Sighted guide
training by O&M Specialist.
- To provide the Volunteer Coordinator with any necessary information needed.
Ancillary Volunteer Job Duties:
- Anything else jointly agreed upon by the Volunteer Coordinator and the volunteer.
