In an effort to improve our patient experience, Huntington Hospital's Oncology (Cancer) unit is creating the "More Than Medicine: Recreational Therapy Program." This volunteer-based program would offer patients a range of cosmetology services. By offering services such as hair styling, manicures and makeup application, patients are able to maintain their personal routine, improve their self-image and preserve their dignity.
The success of this program relies on volunteers that are dedicated to improving the care of our patients. We are currently looking for licensed cosmetologists who would like to be a part of this rewarding new program.If you are a caring, compassionate individual who wants to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients, then this is the perfect match for you!
