Project Open Hand’s mission is to nourish and engage our community by providing meals with love to the sick and the elderly. Our Wellness Programs focus on serving people who are sick and need nutritious food to support their medical treatment. The program is available to residents of San Francisco and Alameda County, who qualify based on a primary diagnosis and symptoms.
We are seeking skilled bilingual volunteers to translate forms, handouts and materials from English to Chinese and/or Spanish for clients participating the Wellness Programs. The volunteer must be comfortable translating written English into Chinese or Spanish, and ensuring each document has good grammar and punctuation.
This project may be completed off-site, and may take an hour or two to complete, depending on the content, with turnaround time of 5-7 days.
