ORGANIZATION: The Arc Minnesota & Arc's Value Village

Attention all students! If you're staying in town this year for spring break, we invite you to spend some time to make a difference in your community by volunteering at Arc's Value Village in Brooklyn Center!


By giving just 2-3 hours of your time you can make a big difference for Arc's Value Village, helping to unpack and sort the high volume of donations received at the store at this time of year. You will also learn how your efforts will support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in our community!


We welcome both individuals and groups Mon-Fri and weekends! Shifts available Monday through Friday from 9am-12pm, 1-4pm, 4-6pm and 6-8pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-12pm and 1-4pm.

The Arc promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, actively supporting them and their families in a lifetime of full inclusion and participation in their communities.

Description

The Arc Minnesota is a statewide nonprofit organization that works to promote and protect the human rights of people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Arc helps people navigate systems while working to advance social change centered in justice, equity and belonging in community. Arc's Value Village is a public awareness and revenue generating vehicle for The Arc Minnesota. Arc's Value Village accepts clothing, housewares, art, media, books & related items and sells those items to the community.
