We have immediate needs for Experienced Scrum Master.
Do you have professional experience as a Scrum Master using Agile Methodology? Do you have your certification? We are looking for 1 or 2 very experienced scrum masters to start immediately. The scrum Master is a co-Scrum Master sharing the responsibilities with another Scrum Master for a team of software developers while helping to end poverty in the United States.

You will facilitate a virtual team of experienced software developers using Agile Methodology to develop a highly interactive unique video gamified learning experience. The project works in two-week sprints, and there are two meetings per week; i.e. facilitating the Sprint Planning meeting, one stand-up meeting and a Sprint Review followed by a brief Retrospective. You will resolve impediments so there is minimal delay for the developers, help set story points and do your part to maintain the team's enthusiasm and momentum for the project, test the developers work and facilitate POs in maintaining the backlog and user story flow on Jira, occasionally assist with the on-boarding of new developers and cover for POs if necessary in meetings they cannot attend.

App to Succeed Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that aims to eliminate poverty in the United States and narrow the income gap by providing best-in-class, comprehensive information on personal finance and other relevant topics that empower at-risk Americans to become financially successful.

The goal is to complete the development of the first two parts of this Best in Class learning experience by September 31.

The team works remotely communicating through shared channels in Slack and conducts their Sprint meetings by teleconference.

Compensation

As a nonprofit, we offer other forms of compensation as we are not yet able to pay our interns.

1. For completing your volunteer commitment, your name will be acknowledged on the organizations' website and in the credits of the software program when published.
2. Those who exceed expectations and make a significant contribution, may choose between a personal letter of reference, written and signed by the CEO or a LinkedIn endorsement.
3. Volunteers who meet expectations and complete their assignments well enough to use in the program, will receive a service certificate upon request.
4. Volunteers will benefit from the personal finance information that he/she learns by working on the project.

5. Flexibility:

   • Hours are flexible, except for meeting times.
   • Work is done remotely so you save the time and expense of commuting by communicating through Slack, GitHub, JIRA and teleconferencing.
   • Start dates and end dates are flexible.
   • The number of hours per week is usually flexible, but because this is a critical position, there are limitations to the flexibility.
