We are looking for foster homes for incoming dogs and cats for the rescue. For every foster home that we have, we can save another animal! We provide everything you need including food, beds, medications, toys and vet costs. You just provide love, cuddles and occasional transportation if vet care is needed.
You choose the animals that best fit temporarily into your home and family. Some fosters enjoy puppies while others prefer older dogs. We have fosters that only take small dogs and others that want bigger dogs. We sometimes get pregnant dogs and cats in the rescue so experience with litters always helps!
Once you fill out a foster application (https://www.pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/foster-application) and it's approved, you will be added to the group and will see animals posted that need foster homes. If you see one that you are willing to foster, you can volunteer for that one. No pressure!

Paws Across Pittsburgh is a 501(c)(3), foster based, non-profit animal rescue located in the Pgh area. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless, abused and/or unwanted dogs and cats.
We are run solely by volunteers with the goal of providing vet care, socialization skills and nutritional needs while living in a loving foster home. All animals that enter into the rescue will receive appropriate vet care, spay/neuter, vaccinations and preventative treatments.
Our goal is to assure a loving, forever home for each one of our animals. Paws Across Pittsburgh strongly believes in Force Free training methods for our animals.
