Calling all fabric lovers! Quilters! Sewists! Fashion students! Fabric is the #1 donated item at SCRAP Denton and volunteers are essential to managing it. SCRAP is looking for volunteers that can measure and price fabric. All volunteers attend training so no previous experience is necessary. Volunteers can apply as individuals or as a group of an organization. Individual regular volunteers at SCRAP also receive 20% off their purchase the day they volunteer and get first dibs on fabric!

Our mission is to inspire creative reuse and environmentally sustainable behavior by providing educational programs and affordable materials to the community.

Description

SCRAP Denton plays a vital role in our community by diverting usable materials from the waste stream, educating people about creative reuse and providing inexpensive art, craft and office supplies.

We accept donations of clean and usable art, craft and office supplies, which we sell to the public at low prices. In 2017, SCRAP Denton diverted over 22.8 tons of usable material from the waste stream.

SCRAP couldn’t do what we do without the dedication and hard work of our wonderful volunteers! Join the SCRAP team today!

We also offer adult and children workshops and other inspiration for creative reuse including our Re:Vision Gallery which features at created from reused materials.
