Volunteer Dance Instructor: What We're Looking For....
Dancing has many health and wellness benefits that we, at Lake Forest Village, would like to bring to our residents. As a volunteer dance instructor, you will teach residents of all dancing levels to dance, groove, and jive to the music while promoting fitness through dancing.
Dance Instructors are needed to lead 45 minutes to 1 hour classes, once or twice a month. For now, the community is looking for instructors who can teach country/western (i.e. line dancing) and all types of ballroom inspired dancing. We want classes that can cater to single as well as couple dancing.
The instructors we are looking for are kind, courteous, patient, and helpful. They should feel comfortable working with and teaching older adults (seniors), and they should also be dedicated to and passionate about dance and helping others. Specifically, we want individuals who will inspire those they teach and who love to make a positive difference in other people's lives.
This opportunity is great for dance students and others, who are looking for more experience and opportunities in teaching and performing dance.
