ORGANIZATION: Compassionate Care Hospice

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 6 people are interested

Hospice Volunteers are needed in Polk County for companionship. This may include reading a simple story, playing a simple game or craft, listening to music or just "being" there for Hospice patients. Maybe you are a person who is able to encourage someone at this crucial time. A smile can go a long way.

We also have in office opportunities such as copying admission packets, filing and answering phones.

If you have a trade such as beautician, carpentry or handyman skills, there are patients who need in home help in these areas.

There is an application process which include fingerprinting and background checks with no cost to the Volunteer.

Also I am available to speak to any groups who may be interested in becoming a Hospice Volunteer.
