ORGANIZATION: Rfk Community Schools-Los Angeles High School Of The Arts

Los Angeles High School of the Arts (LAHSA) at the RFK Community Schools Complex is located in the heart of Koreatown. This LAUSD school serves 410 students, many who come from first generation immigrant families of Latino and/or Korean descent. LAHSA strives to develop a rich academic and artistic community that inspires students to be independent and cooperative young adults who meet challenges with creativity and determination.

Co-director roles include but are not limited to the following:
-Communicate with the mentors throughout the month (at least ocne every other week
individually)
- Remind Mentors of the upcoming meetings
- Make sure all things are set up prior to meetings (have a room and all necessary material,
snacks, etc)
- Attend all workshops
- Set up the day of workshops
- Facilitate all workshops
- Serve as intermediate between school coordinators and mentors
- Plan one final fieldtrip
- Assist with recruitment for next year
- Contribute content to mentor newsletter

As an urban Pilot School and a certified Linked Learning School, LAHSA serves 410 students, many who come from first generation immigrant families of Latino and/or Korean descent. This Los Angeles Unified School District school is widely recognized for its award winning dramatic arts program, its warm and inclusive culture, and its innovative educational programs.
