ORGANIZATION: Lenox Hill Neighborhood House

  • 4 people are interested

Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, widely recognized as one of New York's premier human services providers, is a 124-year-old settlement house that provides an extensive array of effective and integrated services which significantly improve the lives of 15,000 people in need each year on the East Side of Manhattan.

Our Friendly Visiting Program, in partnership with NYC Department for the Aging, serves Manhattan's East Side and Roosevelt Island. The program matches volunteers with homebound seniors for a commitment of at least six months of weekly one hour visits to provide company to a senior who requests it.

We are currently seeking a French speaking volunteer to meet with a senior who is a former French professor. If you are a native French speaker, please reach out to us for this volunteer position! Unfortunately, due to the background check requirements, we can only accept volunteers with a social security number.

Thank you so much for your help!
