This opportunity is for an graphic designer to create quality, graphics for a project called Today's Jazz Book. This project is meant to promote the performance of live jazz worldwide while also holding events in areas needing revitalization.

Currently, musicians and small venue owners are hindered in their performance of live music by the need to pay copyright fees for songs and sheet music. Many venues refuse to host live music due to music licensing costs The presence of a free, royalty-free book of sheet music will facilitate the performance of live jazz.

Composers go to a website (draft) at www.jazzbook.discussion.community to submit jazz songs for consideration in the book. Musicians also go to the site to get a free, electronic copy of the book. Volunteers worldwide promote the book, and the need for compositions.

Musicians also live stream their performance of songs from the book via services like Concert Window to promote the book. In Orlando, such events are held in areas of town needing revitalization.

The project needs the following graphics:

a) an 8.5X11 book cover for Today's Jazz Book. The cover should look timeless and should appeal to all ages except children. The book should look good in both color or black and white format.

b) A website graphic for the top of our website at www.jazzbook.discussion.communiy (under construction, professional email address jazzbook.org pending) where composers submit original music and musicians can download the book.

c) A 4"X6" postcard image, double sided that promotes the jazz book to original music composers who would like to submit work. The postcard will also alert musicians that the free book is available at the website above.

d) Social media graphics meant to promote the project to composers and musicians. These should be sized to fit Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest.

All media would be in English for this project. The volunteer graphics designer would submit two or three concepts for consideration, and then design the items above.
