Our winning team!

For this opportunity we are looking for volunteers that can commit to 3 hours a week during at least 2 months, have people skills and appreciate young adults with disabilities and or healthy eating.

First day he or she will volunteer at our bakery for an interview, to meet our employees that have autism or developmental disabilities and get the training on the product. The volunteer will receive the needed stuff including a tshirt ($10) from our personnel. He/ She will be assigned to a store close to his/ her area.

During next two months the volunteer will be going to the store once a week during 2 hours promote awareness of autism unemployment. He can be alone or with a person of disabilities of his/her preference or one of our bakers or packers.
The volunteer will give away samples of the macaroons made by our bakers and promote the sales that pay the salaries of our bakers and packers with disabilities. The macaroons are vegan, gluten free and delicious.

Once a month the volunteer will pick up samples from our bakery.

Description

MIAMI IS KIND was founded in October 2015: the first industrial bakery in
South Florida to employ young adults with Autism/ disABILITIES.
We have demonstrated that young adults with Autism / disABILITIES can
excel in the workplace.

Today we employ 7 bakers and packers and our goal is employing 20 by 2020.
At Miami Is Kind young adults with ABILITIES make a living out of
their work, socialize for their increased health and wellness. We
foster personal growth, a culture of effort and social/economic growth
for the community.
