Fuel Relief Fund (FRF) is the world’s only charitable organization focused exclusively on fuel provision in natural disasters and complex emergencies. Leveraging our fuel industry and humanitarian sector expertise, FRF manages emergency fuel supply chain in the direst of circumstances. We operate both as a first responder in the immediate aftermath of a disaster and as an expert advisor to governments and humanitarian aid agencies preparing for, or responding to, crisis-related fuel challenges.
FRF is looking for an volunteer to help manage our constituent database and provide general administrative support. Ideally this would be someone who is interested in disaster relief/humanitarian aid and experienced in database management, especially donor management software. Since we're a small organization, volunteer work with FRF is very hands-on so it is a great way to gain experience in, and exposure to, domestic and international emergency response operations.
While this volunteer position is remote, we would prefer someone based in the New York/Tri-State Area so that you could participate in occasional in-person meetings. Benefits of the position include:
- Academic credit (depending on your current enrollment status) and/or letters of recommendation;
- Exposure to the national and international disaster relief world, including interacting with prominent NGOs, UN agencies, oil industry and nonprofit industry leaders, etc.;
- A fun and supportive work environment;
- And, most of all, the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of disaster survivors.
