Adult Friendship

Best Buddies International is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Our virtual adult friendship program focuses on the development of friendships between adults with and without IDD. Many people with IDD have limited opportunities for social interactions after they leave the school environment. This program helps people with IDD become part of mainstream society and creates an inclusive and diverse community for all.

In the environment that we are facing today, physical interactions are limited due to COVID-19, which leaves many people feeling even more isolated. Now more than ever, we are in need of adult peer buddies to join our virtual program. Contact us to become a buddy today!
