Our program focuses on four areas: Adult Basic Education (ABE), English as a Second Language (ESL), GED preparation, and Citizenship preparation. However, our students would welcome your assistance in the following areas: Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, Pronunciation, Conversation and Basic Computer Skills.
We have flexible hours, ranging from 9:00am-1:00pm and 5:00pm-9:00pm, Monday-Thursday. In some cases, hours may be also be available on Fridays from 9:00am-2:00pm. Please specify if you would be interested in an opportunity at our Paulding Campus.
Upon your initial visit, you will get a brief tour of the facility. A consent form for a background check and a photocopy of your government issued ID are required before you can begin volunteering.

Mission Statement
What we believe
Our Vision
We are a community of lifelong learners where goals are achieved, challenges are met, dreams are born and realized.
Our Mission
In order that all students will realize their full potential, we shall organize resources and use relevant curriculum to provide qualitly education in a supportive yet challenging environment that allows for individualized, self-paced instruction.
The staff and faculty lead students in the formation of educational goals. We believe that by givng each student a " restarting point" and providing a self-paced program to accomplish his/her goals, the student has the opportlunity to be a productive and well-adjusted person.
Description
The school program is organized on a 10 week quarter system. Students attend either M/W or T/TH from 9:00-12:00 noon or 6:00-9:00PM.
Prior to starting classes, each student takes a TABE test to aid in classroom placement and attends an orientation program. Classes are set up at five different literacy levels. Students are post-tested at the end of each quarter to measure individual improvement and evaluate future class placement.
Reading, math and language skills are taught at each class level. GED completion is the primary goal for the majority of the student population.
