Hospice Volunteers needed - No special skills or education required

Volunteer work at CIMA Hospice is one of the best jobs anyone can do. It’s not about where you live, how old you are, your educational background, what you have or don’t have. We provide the training; you provide your time. Although it’s sometimes sad, volunteering with hospice is not depressing. Hospice volunteers have jobs that are full of joy and laughter, hope and sharing. Assignments may require a minimal time commitment, such as a short telephone call once a week; or a greater time commitment, such as visiting the patient weekly for a few hours - you tell us what works for you.

This work is deeply meaningful, because the gift of presence is the greatest gift we can give to another. No matter how you help, it’s impossible to overstate how much this support means to the patient and family and to the Hospice team working with them.

I will be happy to discuss your desires and expectations as a Hospice volunteer. Please contact Volunteer Coordinator at 877-775-3370 or Barbara Thompson direct at 405-323-0695.

About CIMA Hospice

Location:

2421 S York St, Muskogee, OK 74403, US

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide compassionate care and clinical excellence for our patients and their families. We believe that hospice should neither hasten nor postpone death, but rather provide physical, emotional and spiritual care for the patient and family during the process. We understand dying as a process and therefore provide care and comfort rather than a cure. We believe life is sacred. To accomplish our mission, we use the palliative-care team approach to patient management.
