Please join us at Whitemarsh Park in Bowie, MD to remove the invasive English Ivy! On-site training and tools will be provided by the Green Team and City staff. SSL hours can be obtained through this event.
Because we are limited to 30 participants, please register in advance with Ashleigh Armentrout at 301-809-3044 or aarmentrout@cityofbowie.org.
Remember to wear long shirts and pants, closed-toe shoes, and to bring water!

Mission
A. The Bowie Green Team will establish a course for creating a sustainable path for the City, educate the City and community members further about sustainable activities and develop initiatives supporting sustainable local government practices.
B. The Bowie Green Team will provide leadership which will seek community-based sustainable solutions to strengthen our community.
C. The Bowie Green Team will strive to develop policies and plans, implement programs and assist with educational opportunities that support the creation of a sustainable community.
Description
The Green Team provides environmental outreach in the City of Bowie and is always in need of volunteers. We have many events and programs that we are working on for this year such as educating residents about the benefits of using reusable bags, developing a community climate action plan, starting a community garden, and planning green volunteer events for residents.
