About

Hope Hospice is looking for compassionate, caring volunteers to visit our clients to provide companionship and socialization. Volunteers are a valuable asset on our team, and truly brighten the days of those we serve. When you choose to volunteer with Hope Hospice, you are choosing to make a difference in the lives of others.

Commitments:

The time and frequency of visits are flexible, depending on your schedule. You’re welcome to visit patients between 9am-6pm any day of the week, including weekends. This really varies based on what’s best for you and for the patient. Volunteers fill out a "Volunteer Note" for each visit saying how long you were there and what you did. We also require a yearly background screening and TB test (both are provided by us).

Training:

Being a hospice volunteer can be challenging, so we like to provide the best possible training. This way you can provide care with confidence and understanding. It usually lasts 5 hours, and is a one-time per year training.

If there’s anything else you would like to know, please feel more than welcome to ask! It’s a really unique opportunity that provides immense benefit to our patients just from our volunteers’ friendly presence.
