We are looking for a passionate volunteer to provide family caregivers with support and education about dementia. Our Caregiver Support Groups provide compassion for the challenges of caregiving and connection to Alzheimer's OC for additional support. The Mission Viejo Support Group will meet on Thursday evenings, beginning in March, at Sunrise of Mission Viejo for an hour each month.
Support Group Facilitator Volunteers are a vital part of the direct services and support we provide to individuals with dementia and their families.
This volunteer position requires an interview, online HIPAA training and a background check. No experience is necessary, each facilitator receives training for this position and shadows a current facilitator to experience a Support Group.
