ORGANIZATION: Big Brothers Big Sisters-Pikes Peak

Community Based Mentoring: Volunteers are matched with a child (ages 9 to 12) and choose a variety of mutually enjoyable activities in the community.

Volunteers commit to a minimum of one year, spending time with the same child two to four times a month (we hope the match relationship will last longer, of course).

Big Brothers Big Sisters (Pikes Peak) staff members support the mentors and the match relationship, offering suggestions, counsel, advice and assistance throughout.

This is our traditional program for which Big Brothers Big Sisters of America is best known for.

Currently, we are in need of male mentors, especially. We have several Little Brothers enrolled waiting to be matched with a Big Brother in the community (Colorado Springs).

Being a Big Brother or Big Sister means being a special friend and role model to a child through a one-to-one caring and consistent relationship. Programs are flexible to accommodate a variety of schedules.
