Are you a financial guru? Do you work in the banking or mortgage sectors or have experience teaching the basics of credit, budgeting and saving? Are you passionate about empowering first-time homebuyers to become financially savvy and secure? If so, you should be teaching our homebuyer financial literacy workshops!
Workshops are held once per month, typically on the third Saturday, and run 2-3 hours. We ask instructors to commit to teaching at least 4 times per year. All curriculum is provided! If you are with a bank that has its own curriculum we can typically let you utilize it to teach our workshops. As a bonus teaching our workshops can help your bank fulfill its CRA requirements!
Typical class sizes range from a couple of participants to larger groups of 10-15 people. Our homebuyers and potential homebuyers are eager and enthusiastic to learn in the ins and outs of repairing credit, how to read a credit report, create a budget, pay down debt, and save for the future.
If this sounds like the right opportunity for you to give back to your community, then we want to meet you!
