San Francisco Aid for Animals is looking for a volunteer to physically help us reach out to more veterinarians to encourage them to offer our grants to pets in need.
We are an organization dedicated to make urgent life-saving veterinary care affordable. Our organization provides local veterinarians with grants, enabling Bay Area residents to afford medical care.
Basically what that means is the we raise money and give it to local veterinarians for them to offer to their clients and patients. For veterinarians to participate in the process they must offer in kind services for the same amount as the grant. We annually connect with veterinarians in San Francisco to enlist them in the program. There are many that do not and there are often new ones with which we need to connect. We need someone who will:
- Research non-SFVMA (San Francisco Veterinary Medical Association) vets in San Francisco
- Collect address and phone numbers
- Develop a list of vets and vet hospitals in Alameda, San Mateo, and Marin Counties for further expansion
This could bee ongoing, because it always changes, but is not difficult. And you will be helping pets in need!
