Attend peer counseling training free of charge. Then become a weekly telephone hotline peer counselor! Use your ability to listen with compassion, and help hurting people, provide grief support, help individuals to break down issues into manageable goals. Complete 6 Saturday morning sessions of training from 9am to 1 pm. (Up to 2 sessions maximum can be made up if necessary.)Help to increase your communications skills in all aspects of your life and learn how to really help hurting people. Then volunteer 4 hours per week answering hotline calls.
