Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Women In Comedy

Women In Comedy puts on awesome events to bring women together across the nation. Our next event is coming up and we could use an expert in marketing to help us with this project! We are seeking someone who can commit a few hours each week leading up to the events. We have four events that need marketing help including DC, NYC, Los Angeles, and Chicago!

We need help selling tickets to our fundraiser show that empowers women! Our target demographic is women's groups and organizations that are looking for a fun night out of comedy and empowerment at our "A Love Letter To Myself' Show and event. If you're interested in helping us strategize and implement a plan to get ticket sales through February-March to raise money, we'd love to hear from you!!

A Love Letter To Myself

Produced By: Women In Comedy

Created & Directed By: Victoria Elena Nones

A Love Letter To Myself honors the journey of a woman's quest for self love, acceptance, and empowerment. This 2 hour variety show is packed with laughs and intimate emotional connection with the audience from start to finish. A diverse group of powerful, local, female pillars in our community are invited and tasked to write and read aloud love letters to themselves on stage intertwined with laugh out loud moments from an all star comedy cast of performers.

Synopsis/Running Order:

The love letters are written and performed by accomplished women from all walks of life who are making a difference in their communities (business, politics, tech, and more). Typically we invite up to 7 women and the ratio is one female pillar/letter for every two comedic performers. The letters are mixed in variety style with a huge, hilarious, all -female cast of all star stand-ups, improvisers, musical comedians, sketch comedians, and more.. Join the journey.

Community Pillar Involvement:

This show is a great way to build community as we invite women from all walks of life in our community to be vulnerable on stage. We also offer the show performers a private, mini, structured networking opportunity prior to the show (typically before or after the tech run through) in order to forge meaningful connections across disciplines.

Comedic Talent Involvement:

This show will eventually serve as not only our big annual fundraiser for our non profit, but also as an industry showcase where invited talent agents, managers, and bookers are invited to see up and coming female comedic talent.
